All About Lauren
Lauren brings over six years of nonprofit experience as she serves full-time at Compass, a Nebraska based non-profit providing foster care, family support, and counseling services. She holds a bachelors degree in Family Studies and Educational Studies from the University of Nebraska. At Aging Ally, Lauren serves as Project Manager, where she plays a key role in keeping the organization’s initiatives moving forward with clarity and purpose. She’s often behind the scenes - bringing structure to big ideas and helping ensure Aging Ally’s mission is reflected in every project.
Lauren’s passion for serving older adults is rooted in personal experience. Shortly after returning from her wedding, she learned her grandfather had been diagnosed with cancer. In the months that followed, she walked alongside her grandparents and family during a deeply meaningful and difficult season. That experience opened her heart to the emotional and practical needs of aging loved ones - and sparked a desire to support others in similar seasons. So when she heard about the vision behind Aging Ally, she knew she wanted to be part of it.
Faith plays a central role in Lauren’s life and work. She believes, like Christ, in the importance of relationship and serving others well. A verse that continues to guide her is James 1:2–4: "When troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy… for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing."
Outside of work, Lauren enjoys life with her husband, Mason, and their sweet dog, Lady. They’re currently renovating their first home together - finding joy (and dust!) in the process. She loves working out, being creative, listening to live music, and watching movies. Her favorite place to recharge is her family’s land in Bassett, Nebraska, where she enjoys hunting, helping care for the land, and spending time outdoors with the people she loves most.
