Charity Menefee is an Associate Professor of Public Health Practice at UNMC College of Public Health and a longtime public health leader with more than 25 years of experience in local and state public health systems. She has worked in Nebraska for the past five years, including serving as the state public health director, and now focuses on teaching, mentoring, and partnering with communities across the state. Her work centers on prevention, policy, and systems improvement.
Charity serves on the Aging Ally Board because she has seen - both professionally and personally - how confusing and overwhelming health care and aging systems can be. Navigating complex medical situations for her own family reinforced the importance of having someone with the knowledge and experience to help people confidently understand what is happening and what comes next. From billing and referrals to care coordination and system navigation, Aging Ally provides trusted guidance that makes a meaningful difference for older adults and their families.
